I know some people that weren’t unhappy when Brock died. He did some horrible things.
Phil Walsh’s death shocked me, as did Millane’s.
I was at Steve Irwin’s zoo with my kids the day before his funeral. |

One of the best pieces of journalism I've read for a while — ignore the name of the rag:
‘They’re stealing our customers and we’ve had enough’: is Deliveroo killing restaurant culture?

The greater percentage of restaurants were of course horrid and run by people who ideally wouldn't be risking that much capital with that little business know-how long before this. But the usual transparency and market control issues that follow platforms are still an ongoing problem in their own right. Laws pertaining to competition and transparency for vendors and customers still haven't caught up.

It's a pity that so many people these days just don't know how to cook.
Yeah it's easier to just order online, it's also generally less healthy and a lot more expensive than cooking at home.
Actual restaurants should be able to cope with the extra charges. Charge less for the people who actually come into the joint and charge the surcharge to those who want to stay home in their trackies.

I remember that because we played North at the MCG and just before the first bounce they announced she had died.
Millanes death happened near work and I had to look out the window , see the Police and media scrum, then later that day go to the Copeland where it was a cacophony of clapping and tears whenever he was named or got votes. It ruined the night for Tony Francis who won it.

Okay, picking up the international tax story again. This really is major policy news, regardless of debates about the rate itself. Is it a case of too little, or a good step towards resetting basic expectations? I haven't read the detail, but my first instinct is that any movement from the US in this regard is good for everyone, because national revenues are in trouble everywhere, and that's causing destabilisation and decay.

ill get blasted for this but i have never understood it, tuning him into some kind of hero, i was just glad he didnt take anyone with him. drink drivers should never ever be made out to heroes.

I guess the point is he was already a hero for many as a player. One terrible, reckless decision that he paid the ultimate penalty for doesn’t necessarily undermine that.
