Its the Preliminary Final, crowd is 96,870, 14 seconds remain, Hawks up by 3 points. Jack Crisp torpedos it into the forward line and its a Collingwood Mark! Siren sounds !! Player will be kicking from 45 out on a 45 degree angle. This is to put the Pies into the Grand Final...

Who do we want to have the ball in hand?

Without a doubt JT!

Never a worry when this bloke has a set shot. 34.10 this season speaks for itself.

The Hyphenator. Every time. Failing WHE, Checkers.

If it's a snap from heavy traffic we need, Phillips is the man, closely followed by Thomas. And if this goal needs to be kicked in an inventive way no-one else has ever thought of before, send for Stevo.

i think DeGoey has the best snap, closely followed by Stevo

Then again, Sidebottom might have something to say about that

Set-shot inside 50, Hoskin closely followed by Thomas

Set-shot outside 50, Fasolo

Oh, De Goey any day of the week, closely followed by Mihocek or Stephenson. Thomas if on the run (he seriously doesn’t miss), but those guys from a set shot. Surprised so many are picking Hoskin-Elliott – he’s good, but he does miss a few.

In 2017-18:
WHE 57.19 (75%)
JdG 50.23 (68.5%)
JT 40.15 (72.7%)
JE 34.16 (68%)
JS 32.19 (62.7%)

[Notes:
The last two are of course one year each.
A breakdown at least into set shots vs. shots in general play would obviously be interesting.]

Miochek. Nice kicking action too.
He hit the post on the weekend, so you can bet he was aiming for it.

De Goey. He is the most dynamic although Stevo is close. The idea would be give it to the bloke who would most likely want the kick. Malcolm Blight like. (although he missed one).

I thought WHE and Mihocek on a set shot from 45m.
Thomas may not carry the distance but has been good from closer range.
Stephenson isn't a reliable set shot kick.
