I think Lynch stays on the back of his third game of footy against the Dees.
Every club needs a back up ruckman but you don’t want one so good that you spend your cap on a bloke playing VFL all year.
I reckon Lynch is now the perfect second ruckman on a list. Cheap and competitive when the time arrives.
You would think if Lynch was delisted and Cox went ( likely ), we would need a back up anyway, so why bother with the exercise in the first place and simply solve that position by giving Lynch another year on the list.

Lynch should stay, as should Ginnivan and Chugg - both have had some impressive patches in an again-interrupted VFL season. It wouldn't make sense to me for Collingwood to keep guys who are nearly 30 and have played heaps of not-too-competent senior footy and then dismiss kids who, largely because of COVID, have not really had much of a chance at any level. Sier, of course, has the talent - but apparently not the interest - to play consistent senior football. He's one of those players who might well come good if he were delisted and got a second chance - but that wouldn't make keeping him and letting him continue to do what he does at Collingwood correct.

I think that's fairly indisputable logic. I honestly wasn't quite as enraptured by Lynch's game yesterday as some (I think he struggled when the ball was in play, some of his handballs just went nowhere and he dropped a couple of marks), but it is indeed remarkable that he was competitive in the hitouts against Gawn – which, pre-game, seemed the best-case scenario – let alone won them, and that's a big tick on its own. So, yes, agreed that he should get another season at least and that in some ways he has the perfect role in the squad.

Laughing Laughing Laughing we started a re-build end of last year. Hence the push to bring in more kids in the draft than we had for a long while including using THIS years picks to do it. Also using the mid season draft.

All this knowing Daicos was coming. Had Bucks stayed, Id have thought a "port" style short drop and back up to contend was on the cards.

However Bucks is gone and a new coach will come in. This will include more players out and change in game plan. There is no way a new coach is going to pick up where Bucks left off. They will re-build in with their own people and game plan.

Anyone thinks we will be contending anytime soon is kidding themselves.

I so hope not. I've been barely able to watch the football since 2015.
