| Post subject: The next club captain has to be... |  |

Darcy Moore.... I posed this question back late last season and others were convinced it was Adams or even Sidebottom. Interested to read the room now...I am even more (pardon the pun) of the conviction that as our best player and in the hope avoiding him going elsewhere... he deserves the role after Pendles.
What do others think?

No. Captain should be someone who can influence the game and get across the ground, not a player anchored to one end of the ground.

^ Can't agree with this at all. Maxy disproves this. Easton did a pretty good job for the Bulldogs too.
Tay or Darcy.
You need leadership qualities above all else, on and off the ground. The captain's position on the field is irrelevant, because ideally there will be an obvious general on every line.. |

For mine Adams is already the spiritual leader of this team
Everything in the past couple years you see is Adams taking control of this team
He’s shown by both actions and deeds he’s all in for his team mates
He leads by example he’s the last player up from a contest and you can see the younger players gravitate towards him
Pendles has been a good captain but he never seemed a natural leader
I like a leadership group of
Adams as captain with Moore JDG as his deputies |
