Is it alright to say "corporate zombie"? Won't corporate zombies be offended? _________________ In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away |

Don't want Cassidy anywhere near the club. |
But do you think we should have an open election for anyone who wants to run? _________________ The beatings will continue until moral improves. |

Of course.
I just wouldn't support Cassidy. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Members don't elect the President, just like voters don't elect the Prime Minister.
Members vote to elect the Board, and the Board then elects the President.
That being said, I'm all for an open Board election, with those interested openly stating that they will then seek the Board's support to be elected president. |

So can anyone stick their hand up to run for the board? _________________ The beatings will continue until moral improves. |

I would ditch the AFLW and Netball Teams and reinvest the money into a Collingwood Brewery. Members would be automatically given shares in this new venture and the Magpie Bitter would be on tap in all our venues, Social Club and Board Room. Legends and Club 5 members would receive complimentary Magpie Bitter at all home games. Other members pay half price. Our renewed focus would be on the Senior men’s side and winning a Premiership. Otherwise its like looking for the Pope outside the Catholic faith.
The CEO doesn't, but the President does. |
Hmmmm...Collingwood is a religion - needing a black and white Pope maybe? _________________ Think MAGPIES...winning the Flag this year! |

Why would Demitriou want to be the figurehead of a club that he clearly disliked for so many years - and for no pay?
Remember the Presidency is an honorary position that actually costs you money - Collingwood Board members claim no expenses and pay for all their own membership fees, flights, meals and accommodation. |
