In France in 1968, it was the students that ignited a General Strike which, had there been a genuine socialist party leading the working class at the time, would have led to the seizure of power by the working class. While the Zionist thugs rampaged, the police sat back and allowed the fascist violence to continue for an hour at least.
To save face, they then intervened, and allowed the fascists, who should have been arrested on multiple assault charges, to go home.
Now the same police are attacking the students.

So police thugs are now being mobilised by Biden to assault peaceful protestors expressing their opposition to genocide.

We are witnessing the slide into martial law in the US.

I actually think it’s essential that claims like that are properly sourced. If a human rights violation is extraordinary enough to make note of, above and beyond the violence and destruction that we already know is happening, then it should be analysed and subjected to scrutiny.

Needless to say there is an audience out there ready and willing to believe that the IDF are capable of any conceivable depravity, and who will lap up hearsay and exaggeration as truth. But truth matters.

If indeed a starving child found one of those and confused it for a food can, then that’s ghoulish enough – and enough of an indictment of the cruel conditions Gazans are being subjected to – on its own. But of course if there is evidence of deliberately booby-trapped food cans then that would be another war crime altogether and should be thoroughly investigated. Like Stui, I want to see the evidence first before jumping to conclusions.

There are many here who will immediately respond that because the government in Gaza itself is reporting it, it must be dubious. But on the other hand, they are quite willing to believe the lies of the the Biden Administration, as reported in the NY Times for example. They believe that the NY Times - a conduit of propaganda for the Pentagon and CIA - is a "reputable" news source, but dismiss out of hand what the government of a population now being subjected to genocide might say.
Anyway, as I said before, time will inevitably bear out the truth.
