So how many run outs have there been so far, and whose fault were they?

Is this reaching Steve Waugh magnitude?

Fourth match.

The Windies needed 11 from the last over. Starc to bowl.

He bowled an excellent over for the Aussies to win by 4 runs.

Marsh was Player of the Match, for his 75 (44 balls) and 3/24.

Finch hit 53 from 37.

Pity most of our players rarely bring their B/B KFC form to the big stage.
I see we just snuck home after WI needed 36 from the final two overs.

Dyso, the Oz batters' biggest problem is their weakness against spin. The move of the T20 WC from India may help, but presumably spin will still play a big part.

The Oz bowlers don't know how to restrict runs. The only question is whether they can take enough wickets to slow down the oppo or bowl them out.

Must be said: The Aussies are playing these matches without Warner, Cummins, Smith, Maxwell and Stoinis.

^ Yes, it's being used as tryout/international opportunity for a number of players who would not play in an important tournament. You don't want Cummins playing against the West Indies if you're sending guys over to get some international batting experience, for fear that they'll only be chasing 70 if the WIndies bat first.

Nice reward for Starc.

The media had an article about how he'd given up millions to play for Oz, only to find that he's surrounded by Oz's B team, 'cos others had chased the millions.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-23/second-odi-west-indies-australia-postponed-covid/100316708

Quote:
Australia's second One Day International match against the West Indies has been suspended minutes before the scheduled start in Barbados due to a positive COVID-19 case, both teams said.

The toss had already been completed and Australia were ready to bat at the Kensington Oval in Barbados when proceedings were called to an abrupt halt.

The West Indies confirmed that the positive test had been returned by a "non-playing member" of their staff.

....

Cricket Australia said the positive case was not a member of the Australian touring party in a statement, adding that the scheduled third ODI on Saturday is now in "considerable doubt".

The second ODI will resume on Sunday morning AEST with Australia batting first, before the series finale is held two days later.

WIndies, chasing 187 (from an appalling start of 6/45, Wes Agar top scored with 41 and Zampa and Wade each made 36), are 5/72. Starc and Zampa each have 2 and Turner got one in his first ODI over.
