Once again, clear on top with a 92 -50 record .... whoever wrote that 96-66 prediction in the Mercury must be under a big rock right now.

Dodgers 3 games behind having gone 4-4 from their last 8 games, including 2 surprise loses to the Cardinals.

Giants take the game (6-5) and series 3-0 against the Cubs.
Follows on from a 3-0 sweep against the Rockies and a 2-1 series win over the Dodgers.

Getting some real good touch at the plate too, scoring 74 runs from the last 10 games, whilst only conceding 35.

3 games clear at the top of the table with 19 games before the finals start.

The Giants are headed back to the playoffs!

It is September 14th and the San Francisco Giants have already secured a playoff appearance, with 18 games left to play. Which is most assuredly not a sentence anyone expected to be writing or reading at the beginning of the season. And the team isn’t letting anyone forget it.

Giants give LA a sniff, dropping their last 2 against the San Diego Padres at home. Short favourites in both games they never looked like winning either of them, going down 6-9 & 4-7.

A tough 3 game series against the Atlanta Braves awaits the Giants.

The Braves are one of those sides the Giants struggle against with the former holding a 7-3 advantage from the last 10 meetings between the two sides.
Atlanta too are coming off a couple of losses in games they would have expected to win against the lowly Rockies.

A very interesting last 2.5 weeks of the regular season ahead.

The Dodgers have a 3 game series against the Reds, before 6 games against 2 of the bottom teams; Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks.

SAN FRANCISCO -- It was September baseball at its finest on Friday night at Oracle Park.

Donovan Solano crushed a game-tying home run with two outs in the ninth inning, and right-hander Kevin Gausman delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly to lift the Giants to a stunning 6-5 win over the Braves in 11 innings.

With the win, the Giants improved to a Major League-best 96-52 and created more separation over the Dodgers, who lost to the Reds, 3-1, on Friday.

Dodgers are going to have to get over the red hot (won 20 of their last 21) Cardinals in a Wild card series to have a shot at the title.

Dodgers staged an amazing comeback against the Padres yesterday. Down 5-9 in the 7th they scored 6 in the last 2 innings to win 11-9. They drifted out to $17.50 at one stage.

The Seattle Mariners @ 150/1 are worth a $5 wager. They've won 9 of their last 10 and have 3 games against the LA Angels to round out the season. They need the Red Sox to drop one against the Washington Nationals to sneak into a wild card spot.

Giants seal top spot in the National the league with an11-4 win over the Padtes.

LA have to get over the Cardinals in the wild card play-off if they want to meet the Giants.

Tampa Bay Rays tops the American league. They will play the winner of the wild card series, Red Sox v Yankees.
