Great effort to come back, I thought they were gone.
That being said, it sounded like a poor game _________________ "You hate a mean man, a grasping man, a man who wants everything and gives nothing. That’s Collingwood. They are a law unto themselves"

Those two chances late in the 2nd quarter proved costly _________________ "You hate a mean man, a grasping man, a man who wants everything and gives nothing. That’s Collingwood. They are a law unto themselves"

First game in a long time. Buckley must go. Games there to win and we stop and go sideways. All on him. Bring on any one else. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

Port are kidding themselves if they think they can make top four with that performance.

This is what it has resorted too, we have to keep a team to 8 goals just to sniff a win. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Please no more of the Brown brothers, especially Callum.I’m so sick of seeing players who can’t kick over a jam tin. It’s soul destroying to have players who kill your momentum like that. |

Our boys never gave up, which was inspiring. Second one point loss for the season.(:
Looking forward, it was a real positive that half our goals were kicked by players under 10 games. Well done McCreery and Poulter. |

I know its being said ad-nausem, but I cant see how Bucks and the rest of the coaching staff can survive post season.
Need a massive broom swept through the club again.
Been there many times before, and it's come again.

Yep, completely agree Doris. They run around like headless chooks most of the time. Browns out, Bianco and Cox in. |

First time we were not on Australia channel all year. So had to follow on the AFL webshite. Take the dog for a walk and grab a beer . It is high 90s here.
I would have settled for a draw. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

I find it amazing that a young player like McCreery can show more forward craft in a couple of games than Thomas and Brown have shown in the last few years.Which begs the question, why haven’t we been recruiting decent small forwards sooner than this? |

Poulter was fantastic - we have a really good player here.
On the method - 10 years of fostering a largely negative mindset was evident in the way the players are often scared of taking the game on. Yes we have good defence but our ball movement forward is often woeful. The only conclusion I draw is that our coach is more scared of losing than of playing with flair. I am so sick and tired of this and am thinking seriously about giving up my 26 year Collingwood AFL membership.
Yes an ‘honourable loss’ today. Yes we are competitive in each match but I don’t care. I’d rather have someone who coaches to win premierships and backs players in. _________________ Daicos, impossible angle ... Goal! |
