Well 12 matches in, we have a sample size of form or lack of to put a likely top five together. Firstly, the players that deserve consideration:
* Grundy
* Daicos
* Pendlebury
* Mayne (yes, had a good year)
* Roughead
* Crisp
* Moore
Don't think Maynard or Noble are guilt-free in their consistency or errors made. That aside if the poll was called now, I think it might look like this:
1. Jack Crisp
2. Brodie Grundy
3. Jordan Roughead
4. Darcy Moore
5. J Daicos

At the moment I would have Crisp miles ahead
Crisp
Moore
Grundy
Would be top 3 for me at moment
WHE has been good last few weeks and Elliott if he remains fit could come home with a wet blanket
Pendles always polls well
Maynard might do well because it’s a internal voting system and he used in some massive roles for the team
Adams won’t figure been injured too much
JDG to up and down in performance |

Reckon the O P is very close to the mark.
Anticipating fifth is always a lottery.
Roughead has had a cracker of a season and was beaten for the first ( ? ) time on the weekend. That’s a fine effort in an ordinary team.
I think the “ get the defence right first “ strategy has helped him and it’s interesting that he was beaten when we got around to playing some “ proactive “ footy.
Maybe that’s the giving up when you get something back at play.
It would be a great story if Crisp went on to win it ! |

i can see him flying home with a wet sail.
if he makes it with a wet blanket then he's going to kill the mood at the Copeland celebrations. _________________ Side by side. |

Crisp gets a lot of the ball but I personally don’t rate his in close work. Not sure I’d have him on top. Grundy is back to some kind of form, not quite 2019 but much closer to that than 2020. He’d be my bet to be leading with Roughead 2nd. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

I reckon it's between Sidebottom, Moore and Crisp with Maynard the smoky. |
