He doesn’t even remember the moment it happened, so hopefully it’s not too bad. If he can avoid significant surgery, he may be back soon enough.
Anyway, we all know the Nicks mantra “ play the kids “

In 2022 Maynard becomes a restricted free agent. I read that he is being paid somewhere around $400000 per year, and i think he will definitely ask for more, and is definitely worth more. With our salary cap pressures, we might have trouble retaining a player like Maynard. I hope Hardie is just a typical rumour monger in some backwater WA radio station. I really dont want to lose Maynard from this defence.

Starting to remind me of the last few rounds of 2018 when we lost Howe, Moore and Roughead and had to play a pretty much VFL back 6 (including Murphy and Oxley). Who comes in for Moore, Maynard and Murphy (if he also misses next week)? Guessing Keane, Wilson… does Chugg get his chance?

if Maynard accepts a RFA deal next year, might we get a pick next to our draft slot (i.e., top 3)?

With GW in charge the days of overpaying players are over.

Maynard like all the other out of contract players will need to decide whether they want more money or more success.

If they are about the money, then see you later.

If Buckley coaches somewhere else I reckon Maynard could follow - similar to Daisy Thomas and Malthouse

That's silly. Daisy left for money.
