If we land Nick in the draft and he wants to wear the #35 after his first year, I reckon the club should let him continue with it.

Agree. A Daicos on our current list should wear 35. Make the first drafted player wear 42 in their first year. In honour of the great Darren Millane.

We are so inept off-field at the moment, we would probably bungle a basic father;son deal

Nah dude, won’t happen. We will have Nick Daicos wearing 35 and killing it in 2022. Hopefully form will permit the two Browns and the two Daicos lads to play together for many successful years with the ‘pies.

Hope he has the#35 in his first year and also hope the choice to keep it will be up to him.

A silly Eddie legacy. Makes hardly any sense to me. The only thing I can think why Eddie decided to conjure up that idea was to make sure in the future which is now, was so nick d gets to wear it if he chooses so. Kinda reserving it for one of the sons.

People seem to forget that the number 35 is given to our top draft pick each year, to honour the loyalty and sacrifice given to our club by Simon Prestigiacomo.

It is bloody astonishing and annoying when some Collingwood fans don’t know the basic information about stuff like this and then get on their high horse and want everything changed just for change sake🤬

This was initially proposed but Shirley Millane knocked it back because at the time we were affiliated with Williamstown. And her take on it was that 42 would spend more time in a Seagulls jumper than a Pie one and Pants was a Dandenong boy.

Personally I would give it bone of the boys and keep it for his career.

Yeah I think the time is right to do that but the club will need to talk to the family first and get the okay from them. No controversy needed.
