Not missing anything as form goes anyway so I hope A Johnson is considered for a debut.[/quote
A Corkie is hardly an injury you’d compare to soft tissue injury that keeps you off the park on a regular basis? It’s a collision injury and happens to anyone. |
Well Murphy has been back on the training track as well so why shouldn't he be playing? There's three who have no hope of playing because all they're doing is running laps - Greenwood, McInnes and Begg. Then we have two in rehab most likely out for the year - Moore and Tyler Brown. All the others I assume are available to play because they're doing all the training (Edit: Sorry, missed Howe. He was the other one doing laps).. |

I assume that our VFL team is gonna have a run around??
This would allow the club to continue to develop those on the fringe of senior selection where they should best be developed.
I would select Taylor Adams as the medical sub to have his nouse there on the bench supporting the younger lads.
With our inevitable injury occurrence, he will probably be required for a half.
Let's see what Kelly, Johnson, McRae, Keane, Sier, Bianco etcetera have to offer against Freo who are a dangerous opponent. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

VFL team playing Franskton at Holden Centre @ 12.05pm
Pity Seniors game has been changed to 1.45pm start, would have liked to watch the VFL beforehand. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

Harvey declared that Will Kelly will now continue to train with forwards.
“ They “ see him as a long term forward project.
Wonder if the next coach will think the same. |

When I read this I assumed you were being tounge in cheek... (maybe you were?) That we had a buy after the comp had shut down is rubbish. This whole VFL setup is a joke. Should have no byes and start the same time of the year as the AFL. I know covid has impacted finances, but the fact a billion dollar comp cant have a national, coordinated seconds comp is a shambles. Surely there is a better solution than we have. And dont get me started on the VFL website... _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

Good to see team selection integrity is still strong...not.
How does Mason Cox come in? Hasn't played in firsts since round 4, done less than nothing in VFL and he's in.
I am not a Max Lynch fan but he did more than enough against Melbourne to keep his spot.
And let's not forget Thomas.
Bye Harvs, nice knowing you. _________________ Jatsad - That is all |

Doesn't that depend on what role Harvey has for Cox? What if he has Cox ruck and has Grundy as the permanent tall forward to move Cameron to float D50 in Moore's spot? |

Very happy to see the three talls included at long last! Welcome back Coxy.
Darcy could be called upon to shore up the defence in Moore's absence. It's a bit of a worry with Madge playing at CHB and Darcy has shown he can take intercept marks in defence .
It sure will be interesting to see how the ruck work is shared about. |

Interesting selections. I didn't think Tay Adams should be selected, as there is no reason to risk him, so I am assuming he is AOK to go. Clearly he is to replace the loss of JDG.
Also interesting is the selection of Cox instead of...who, Moore??. Grundy replaces Lynch, but Cox also comes in on Interchange (and not at full forward). So Harvey has decided to play all three: Cox, Cameron and Grundy in the same team and Madgen is playing the role of Moore. Maybe he is thinking of throwing Checkers back in defence if Madgen needs support. I quite like these selections (assuming of course that the selection of Tay Adams is not a desperate bid for victory, but is entirely justified by the medical data). _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

I share your views. Interesting selections
Sidey in the forward line
Coxy on the bench. He has to do enough to terrorise the opposition when he comes on.
Bianco gets another go.
Yes Madge at CHB? It's an experiment.
Our centre line players need to pull the finger out like last week and we'll win
We have to counter their best player, hmm James Aish _________________ Jamie Elliott...you beauty
