I've no objection to the arrangement, but if the Board had simply said, "we can access $15M and we can appoint an excellent candidate at the same time" it would have been a lot more honest.
In practice, organisations with more female directors generally do better. |

Mate, give it a rest – say what you like about quotas (and I understand arguments against), but these kinds of affirmative action policies were around long before anyone knew what the term "woke" meant. It's only a "bribe" in the sense that any results-oriented subsidy is. And it shouldn't be that hard to find three qualified female board members out of eight. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

How many million competent women are there in the country? And we need to find another 1? How hard can this be? |

The pool of interested female candidates is smaller you would think. Kinda similar to the candidates for the BHP mining managers jobs: 26% female pool, but 50% females selected. A recipe for discrimination and statistically not on merit just virtue signalling. I hope we don’t join the woke club _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

^ If BHP is being proffered as an example of a "woke" organisation of the kind Collingwood should not be, the term plainly lacks semantic content. |

I hope someone challenges for O'Donnell's position on the board.
Her appointment needs to be ratified at the AGM. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

People are missing the main point.
What is our main purpose?
To me it is about being just a football club.
Why are we involved in research?
Long way from being a footy club.
Leave the research to the AFL and other worthy bodies
This is just another example of why Collingwood is fu..ked
It constantly tries to do other things that are not part of its core objective.
It has always got a big head.
Run by Wokes for Wokes. |
