Bianco only gets an extra year? Would have thought he'd be signed on for at least another two after such a promising debut season.

Probably because David after he wins the Copeland next year, his contract offer will go up significantly.

Firmly tongue in cheek, but possibly related to him wanting to show his wares and be in a better negotiating position. Hardly think the Club will let him go in a hurry.

Exactly my thoughts. No footy last year and a knee injury that saw him miss the first few games this year, suggests he has plenty of room to improve in 2022.
If he works hard during this coming off season, he will have a decent contract in front of him towards the end of next season.
