Is Ben the GCS player? He’s the superior of the King twins and the preferable one to go for but I doubt we’ll get him. |

Yes we can😝
Without giving away early draft picks and a couple of top 10 players, don’t know how ☹️ _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

Wouldn't it be nice if we were younger
Then we could wait until King is in our team,
And having watched the game together
Celebrate the victory dream
Wouldnt it be nice if we could wake up
In the morning when the day is new,
And watch Jamie , Beau and JDG
Combine with King to smash goals through. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Piesnchess without meaning to be negative I think we need to be realistic about him. Still a kid so he may not have the instant impact we are all hoping for. Patience is the key to develop him and give him the best chance of reaching his obvious (limitless) potential. However having said that I can’t bloody wait👍🏽 _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. True Comrade, lets give the kid time, remember, some yrs ago, the Hawks, had a policy, that young kids had to play 50 VFL games, before being chosen for the Senior Team. ? Back then, it applied to then kids like Hodge, Mitchell, Roughead, Issac-smith, Lewis, etc, and set them up for their 3 flags in a row. We can learn from that policy. On the other hand, Kink played his first game at 16, in a PF, and kicked 4 goals, a lanky Len Thompson was 17 in his first game, a PF, and did well too. Thorold Merrett was 15 in his first game, Western Oval, and starred, Ted Whitten told him, "kid im gonna flatten you, if u keep this up" i think he kicked 5 goals! But, that was a very different era of course, i understand that. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I didn't know about that Hawks policy. How interesting! The coaches must have shown considerable constraint to wait 2 seasons before bringing the likes of those players into the team and Hawks supporters must have been extraordinarily trusting and patient!
It's incredible to think of Kink, Thompson and Merrett being such young kids when having their first games !! I think Tim Watson was another who debuted at 15? Yep, different times for sure Piesnchess!
Would our youngest debutante of more recent times be Mark McGough? Anzac Day Medallist as a late 17 year old in just his second game. Wow. |

And of course Terry Keays was only 16 when he debuted... although that didn't go quite as well as the others...
That same year, in the Teal cup, he knocked me out (I was with the ACT at the time). |
