Ten years seems fair. Not that he’ll stay that long, of course. Ross knows when the welcome is worn out. I’m not a fan but at least if he comes we won’t have to put up with him for a decade. |

Yes. And look what happened.
After the Tim Watson fiasco, everyone in footy said it'd never happen again. But Eddie thought he knew better. If only NB had listened to his manager and not accepted Eddie's madness... He could have learnt the ropes at another club first...
And Eddie doubled down on it on Footy Classified last week. Sheesh...
(Not that Mitchell is jumping into senior coaching straight from the media, of course... But even Clarkson publicly warned against it.) |
If you want to blame, then how can you possibly blame E.M & not MM????????
The bloke signed a CONTRACT to stay & help NB. Did he do that? Or did he f.ark off & bag the club & NB constantly?
How many flags did Bevridge play in before he become a premership coach.?
There is no formula.
It’s amazing how easy MM gets off. He cost us a flag in 2011 & maybe just maybe he cost us a lot more by going back on an agreement he was very happy to make before he won a flag. |

Caro on footy classified last week stated Lyon had pulled out of the running for the Collingwood coaching job, he was seated right next to her at the time, he didn't refute that claim and went on to say he disagreed with the termination of Buckley.
He wont be our next coach but he might well be Carlton's. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

The top 3 Nicks favourites are;
Choco on the 6th line of betting @ 14/1.
The 2 others in the boards first 3 are - 9/1 (Mitchell) and 7/1 (Clarkson).
Just 8% who answered the pole have picked 2 of the most favoured, Lyon and Yze (9/1) in betting.
Will be interesting to see how many weeks the sack Buckley brigade give the babbling booby Lyon, before there's a new outcry.... if the money is, in fact, correct. |
Probably longer than Buckleys dwindling supporter base will give the new coach |

We're in 16th at 4-9, and Hawthorn breathing down our necks with a game in hand. It's almost impossible to go backwards from here |
You mean the Hawthorn coached by the bloke many here think would be a great replacement? Good clubs with good coaches can rebound quickly. A lot of others end up in the pits for decades.
We can go backwards alright. |

The bizarre re-writing of history to make McGuire a villain and Malthouse a hero is ridiculous. Eddie saved the club and Malthouse cost us a flag by acting like a tantrum throwing toddler. |

^ Rubbish. Like all coins, there are actually 3 sides to it... it's a bit of both and a bit in between, yes Eddie did save the club but he also created this big fat mess we're in now. As for that lost flag, all three of them cost it.. (Eddie, Mick and yes even Bucks - because if Nathan really had Collingwood's best interests at heart he would have held off... yes think about it... yes... greedy greedy boy.. but really, its Eddies fault... Mick just had a wobbly...) and maybe even another 2 flags had things been put on hold by Eddie, I guess we'll never know. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

I really can't see how we can go past Williams, some will always hold a grudge against him for leaving us but such is the reality... success has pretty much followed him wherever he's gone... and he ticks every single box for what we need right now.
Lyon is going to Carlton, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief there (although there are _far worse_ alternatives we could pick). _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

Gut feel and reading between the lines. Don't you think it's obvious? I mean basically he's going to take a big job because this will most likely be his last chance at a good long solid contract. As people have mentioned he has pretty much put himself out of the running for us the other day with Caro - although i haven't actually seen the footage (although of course... no one is going to say any truths until the ink is dry for any job..). Yeah Carlton makes sense for Lyon over us imo and we all know Teague is a dead man walking, the review is a sham just like our last one was... just this ones to remove a coach and not save one. _________________ All Aboard!! ^ Not really.
Lyon is best mates with Silvagni, and we know that Silvagni's exit from Carlton didn't end well. It's been hinted that Lyon wouldn't go there out of a sense of loyalty to Silvagni. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Well I suspect that ambition may override that friendship, he's 99% chance to take one of the two jobs, and as we all know he's not really a builder... although I'm sure he's smart enough to adapt his 'defensive' natures, becauses he's a tactician 1st imo. He may well take the Collingwood job, but I don't think the 'Silvagni' issue will stop Ross from taking his job of choice.
I've been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again but my gut says Carlton. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |
