^ FWIW, according to AFL tables, it was 58 - 11 wins and 47 losses. |

So, 58 games to Brisbane from the player they got, compared to 355 games (and counting) to Collingwood (Crisp 154, JDG 115 and Greenwood 86). That was probably one of the best trades ever.
Meanwhile, Brisbane finished 17th, 17th, 18th and 15th in Beams' 4 years with them. |
Yes we did well from that trade definite winner there
At the time when he left other than trading Pendles or swanny there wasn’t anyone else on our list who could have attracted such a high return in trade terms based on there career performances at that time
In those 4 wasted years at the lions Beams played 58 games and only polled Brownlow votes in 22 games or 38% of the games he played in (not bad considering history tell us you struggle to get votes in a losing side) including 6 best on ground (2 in a losing side)
In those 4 years he twice finished top 10 in the brownlow count as well
His career ave votes per game at the loins is .76 votes per game (.55 votes over his entire career) the highest average of any lions player who’s played 50 games or more in there history (which included Brownlow medalists Simon Black, Michael Voss and ackermanis)
So while he only managed to play 58 from a possible 92 games I’m sure the games he played he was a important player in the team so they got decent value for the trade as well. |

And then we ruined it all by saying something stupid like, "I love you".
If only we didn't sell the farm to get him back..... _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world, those that understand binary and those that don't. |

Some might be surprised by Adams being so high despite missing games. He was arguably BOG against Carlton (Rd 2), Port Adelaide (Rd 10), Fremantle (Rd 15), St Kilda (Rd 16) and Richmond (Rd 17). _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

You can lock those ones in (with Adams, Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Roughead making up the minor numbers). No need for a Copeland Trophy night now. |

Agree but I believe that Maynard, Jordy will be high up with Pendles too. You can put a line through a number of names. |
