Post subject: Here is an idea: Darcy, Brayden and Jordan sign up! | |
|
In what has been the year from hell, how about committing and signing up for the future:
* Darcy Moore: one gun year in seven injury depleted seasons. How about committing to the club and not milking free-agency or doing a Peter Moore.
* Jordan DeGoey: we have had your back through thick and thin. You've had your best year in 2021. Sign up.
* Brayden Maynard: Melbourne are flirting with you, your brother played there as well as your father. You've given all to the Pies over 7 seasons. Please sign up.
Yes we need a coach, a new board, and a complete club shake up but our best draft haul in 2014 needs to not hold the club to ransom and commit. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

1st rounder, or try your luck in the ND; you won't end up at Melbourne. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Well JDG should be asking for over a million a season given he's far more damaging and valuable than the current player on our list getting a million a year for the next 6 seasons. Not sure we have the cap space to pay both of them? |

Does the 3qt argument between JDG and Maynard mean anything?
Big part of me feels the latter is gone… _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

Noticed a change in Bruz since Bucks left, hasn’t been his usual self. |

Trade moore and jdg for top 5 picks. Keep Maynard if at all possible. _________________ Buon Giorno |

What do people expect.
Moore has been injury prone his whole career. In a year or 2 he will.literally have no value. Trade for early 1st round this year.
DE.goey has currency. But he will never flourish with us and by the time we r half decent will either be in jail or on Jenny Craig. Trade asap. _________________ Buon Giorno |

I'm told Maynard not happy with both Grundy and Moore. _________________ It's a simple game. |

Grundy is on $925,000 vs the millions you allude to. He is a great player too. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

The way team sports are played is that when you’re losing you hate your teammates and when you’re winning you love your teammates and you forget who the coach is. |

- we cant Keep any first round picks we could potentially bring in for Maynard or anyone else this year. Unless that is we trade it back out for a player we need.
- We saw what happened when we traded players out who wanted to stay last year. To the group and culture. Moore or Degoey IF they want to stay should be kept and IF we were to consider it at all..... well thats a 3-5 year rebuild started so accept that.
- Maynard has been linked to other clubs since the start of the year and at that stage with 2 yrs to go on a contract. I would love Maynard to want to stay. Not sure thats the case so get value for him now. _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

Our potential 2022 backline keeps us competitive and Maynard and Moore are crucial to that:
