Just announced. Congrats for the "comeback kid" whose career was in the abyss after 2017.

Sad news, but I think we all saw this coming. Has been a cornerstone of our side over the past four years, and it was great to see how he resurrected his career. Will always be one of my faves!

Ripper of a bloke, it’s guys like Mayney who keep me in the game and not put off by the Prima donnas. He’s gonna be missed around the club. Legend for not throwing a hissy fit when Buckley gave him some tough love — he put his head down, bum up, and played his role as a team members and leaves the club and footy with respect. Good luck to him

Shucks. Close to premiership glory and played a part for us and dockers most successful years of late. Best of luck to him.

Well done Maynie. You won us over with your persistence and great that you have made the call with some gas still in the tank.

Got the most out of himself, great example of not listening to the masses and perseverance! Good luck mate.

Well said, Mr Miyagi. His re-invention and both commitment and dedication to his craft have been exemplary. His performance in the 2018 GF stands out to me and cemented my respect for him as a person and Collingwood FC player.
Best wishes to Chris and his family.

I like this guy. Heart and soul despite not always being regarded as such from those of us on the outside. We won't really know what went on after his recruitment, but was great to see him stick it out and find a way to become an integral part of the team (curious to know how much Buckley had to do with this too). I think the club is better (in however small a way) having him pass through it. Best of luck and thanks.

Although we recruited him on big bucks as a forward, he turned out to be a very reliable defender/winger, and was one of our best players in the 2018 Grannie. Clearly a terrific clubman, and despite his obvious weaknesses as a player, he worked his butt off to make a contribution every time he put on the guernsey. Congrats to a great career and I wish him all the best.

If you were looking for a bloke to man the trenches with, he’d be first picked.
Absolutely team first ethic and plugged more holes than spakfilla during his time at the Pies.
Respect. Best wishes for the future, Mayney.
