Boared coup. Salary cap problems. No leadership. Horrid recruiting (none of the 2020 crop are anywhere near it).
Shut the doors. There is nothing to salvage.
Only hope of to move to Tasmania. Go the Tasmanian fire ants. Black and white colours would be the only thing with saving from this shit show.

Nah, let Port have their black and white back. They deserve it more than us. Port is far more successful. We are a rabble. We hang on to success from 90+ years ago, but have delivered next to nothing since.

You might be onto something there

All I can say is, imagine waiting 125 years for your state to have its own football team and having to accept that as your mascot. Laughing

What if we could arrange a deal where the Tasmanian Government picks up Grundy's wage bill for the next 6 years?

Sounds too much like the ‘Aints 😀

How about the toothless Tassie Slugs?

Slow in movement, thinking, and prone to be sluggish for long periods.

Perfect 🤩

WE could of course, be Saints fans, with ONE premiership since 1874, in VFA, VFL, AFL, if that would make you lot happy. ??

Or Freo, GWS and GCS with NONE in their trophy cabinets. We are okay, just having a very bad season due to past mistakes made with exiting the wrong players, lack of visionary recruiting, unavoidable circumstances affecting our ability to always play the best team possible and shooting ourselves in the foot with a bloody ridiculous decision that led to a mid season coaching resignation. Lastly having players play under a temporary coach who might not be there next season to be able to make long term team game plans. We were never in a realistic position to have any kind of success this year, let alone win a flag. We were set up for failure as soon as Bucks was sacked. It has been a disastrous nightmare to endure but hopefully the team can only get better in future seasons except for next year when we will still struggle with a young team. However riding along with the adventure of watching future champions develop will be awesome as long as intelligent recruiting finds gems full of skill, talent and mercurial ones with X factors 👍🏽

Don't give Graham Wright any more bright ideas; he's got enough shit to fix, thanks to McGuire, Guy, Hine, Buckley and co.

exactly, piedsy.
The legacy of the Bux and MacGuire (post 2010) era is a searing scar through our most vital organs.
Not sure about Ned Guy. Think he was a Fall Guy, more than a Ned.
Hine... yeah, I have not been impressed overall, but i get the feeling that his selections were driven by Bux.
He got one right with Jaidyn Stephenson, but Bux made sure it would not actually blossom. I think all the members of our staff, assistant coaches, recruiters etc were poisoned by the authoritarian environment created by Bux.
Bux backed off in 2018, due to the review which salvaged him more time, but after Longmuir left, Bux had no compass to guide him. The assistant coaches were beholden to him, and were unable to project any positive alternative.
Hence they need to go as well.

Agreed; Harvey and Sando et-al, all yes-men.
Yes, Ned was the Fall Guy for the other spineless numpties, as one cant simply trainwreck a list and salary cap in the limited time he spent at the club. Still, he needed to go with the others; but I blame him the least.

The only sense of loss I feel is Gary Hocking; you can bet your arse he's either said something productive to rock the yes-man boat, or tried to implement change/s to some sacred long-ago failed process.
I'd have Hocking in the coaches chair tomorrow, if it were up to me.
