Victory for Oz is almost certain!
As the media have been talking about non-stop for days...
In Dubai, it's...
10-2 for the side winning the toss,
11-1 for the side chasing,
9-0 for the side chasing at night.
No excuses for not winning now.
And then Oz can defend the title at home next year.

Half way. The Aussies have nullified any near 10 r.p.o. flashy start. Wickets in hand, in the Caps favour.

There we have it. 2/173 from 18.5 overs. Warner 53 from 38, Marsh 77* from 50, Maxwell 28 from 18.

That's Oz's best hope. If scores are high, the bowlers dunno what to do and the batters don't have enough firepower. |
The game wasn't a contest after the 12th over in the Australian innings - they were 25 ahead of the required run rate and never looked like losing. Marsh and Maxwell knocked the total off easing up at the end. NZ was probably 40 to 50 short of a competitive total. If they'd made 220, Australia might have had to break into a sweat. As it was, half of the best top order in World T20 cricket didn't even have to come to the crease.
Hazlewood was brilliant. Probably should be POTM. |

If only I'd seen this in time to follow suit!
But the damage for me was done at the start of the tourney... |

Glad it wasn't England or S. Africa gifted a World Cup.
A competent ICC would have been able to avoid such unfair playing conditions... |
