Coaches def have expiry dates... But Khawaja's fixed-term call is much more rad than anything Cummins and co said.
Fixed terms are normal in admin e.g. AFL Boards, etc. 'Cos someone like Eddie can hang around forever without them. But coaches normally get the shove soon enough anyway,
So... Dunno... Interesting idea... But prolly more important is having different coaches for the different formats. |
And, Donny, on the Langer question...
Well, there are many Langer questions. But first, one thing where I'm on Langer's side: the rift with the players over Marny's sandwich (  ).
Marny takes the field in a Test with a sandwich stuffed in his pocket so he can eat while fielding. Sheesh!!
Langer tells him to stop. The players (dunno which ones) go berko at Langer privately (say media).
Wowee... It's not a **** picnic!! They're supposed to be professional. How does having food stuffed in your pocket help you field?? There are lunch and tea breaks. You can eat your sandwiches then. Sheesh...
I like Marny. And of course he's Oz's best batsman. (Though there are now cricket journos who say it's Trav Head. Okay, Head got two Test POTMs in a row this season... But let's see him do well overseas first...) But that's crazy stuff. |
