During the week, he became the first Sydney Sixer to score a hundred in the BBL and then the first Sydney Sixer to score 2 hundreds in the BBL.
He is presently averaging 131 in the 2022/23 BBL, at a strike rate of 175.83, after back to back POTM awards. His most recent effort was 125* from 66 balls. The opposition batting managed 62.
Cricinfo has a "total impact" rating that it uses to determine its match MVP. SPD Bradsmith rated 191.87. The second player on the park (an opposition bowler, Sandhu, as it happens) rated 40.88. The best batting rating for the opposition was Warner's 0.88. |

Just 66 from 33 balls for SPD Bradsmith tonight.
So, that gives him 328 runs (the 7th-highest in the BBL this season, even though he's played just 4 of 14 games),
at an average of 109.33 (the top average this season)
and a strike rate of 180.21 (the highest in the competition for any batsman who has made at least 25 runs in total in this year's BBL).
He already has the top and third-top scores in this year's comp.
He is also the leading run scorer for the Sixers this year.
Of course, he is just a flat-track bully. The Sixers have dominated the bowling, so far, with their 6/128 from 16 overs. Apart from Bradsmith's paltry 66 from 33 balls, their batsmen have, so far, returned scores of 8, 18, 2, 8, 9*, 7* and 2. |

His 24 sixes for the tournament so far is, remarkably, the most by any player this summer — an “absolutely astonishing” stat, according to Fox Cricket’s Isa Guha.

| Smith scored his 7th Test century in England in the current match (from a total of 32 innings in 17 Tests, at an average of 60.7). Among Australian batsmen, that equals the great Steve Waugh (from a total of 32 innings in 22 Tests), althoiugh Waugh achieved his feat with 10 not-outs, so his average in England was 74.22. Smith is now behind only Bradman, who made 11 Test centuries in England from 30 innings in 19 Tests. |

Young Bradsmith last evening became the first batsman in the history of Test cricket to reach 9,000 runs in fewer than 100 Tests. He achieved the feat in his 99th.

I love the way he started his innings (I fell asleep when he was in his 20's). Comes out and asserts himself on the match, which I think plays with the bowlers heads.
Hopefully Carey and the tail can keep it together and we can watch the master carve out yet another big ton. Brilliant.
Australia, if not already, can have this game in it's grasp by the lunch break.
