In the third T20, India elected to bat.

They racked up 4/234, with Shubman Gill scything through the NZ attack, with 126 n.o. from just 63 balls. He crunched 7 sixes and 12 fours. Rahul Tripathi hit 44 (22), with 3 sixes.

Then, the Black Caps crumbled to be all out for 66.

Hardik Pandya took 4/16 and Umran Malik, 2/9. Daryl Mitchell top scored with 35 (25). 8 NZ bats scored 3 or less.

^ Yes, I watched that with a degree of bemusement last night.

I guess we shouldn't be too concerned about all of their best cricketers being dragged off to play T20s in the IPL after watching that because most of them wouldn't get picked to play in the IPL 4ths.

Gill's innings was pretty good but, without meaning to be churlish about his fine effort, the bowling was tragically poor.
