Bad light stops play. That will be Stumps on Day 2. 8/232. The lead is 28. Da Silva is 54* and Roach is 25*. The West Indies' innings is presently bookended by two 50 partnerships and a whole lot of not too much in between.
Da Silva came in with the score at 6/95, so his contribution was substantial. |

Yes, it almost seems like both teams play a top 8 or so that are supposed to take the shine of the ball for the good batsmen.
It's been a game of inches, though. If Mayers had caught Leach on 10, yesterday and Stokes hadn't managed to get one to "tunnel" into Brathwaite, this could have been a slaughter. |

All out now for 297.
A handy lead indeed..what a remarkable innings from DaSilva. 100 not out off 257 balls.... and on that note, goodnight. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Something not seen before.
Just after Da Silva reached a quite excellent century, he inside edged one to the keeper. He turned to walk off but, with reviews still available, thought he may as well use one.
No spike on snicko at all.
Da Silva had left the field. Called back. _________________ Donny.

Jayden Seales, with a Test batting average of 4, scored 13 and shared a 10th. wicket stand with Joshua Da Silva, of 52. In so doing, helped his team mate to his maiden Test ton and his team to a 93 run lead. _________________ Donny.
