Do you ever sleep Donny? (I'm awake at 2.30am, still feeling a bit of discomfort after my colonoscopy last week... how much fun is the prep for that )
Windies need to steady here..3/114 with 2 new batsmen at the crease.
I agree totally regarding the term Pom... my Mums a Pom!
Similar thing happened a few years ago when I was at a cultural awareness gathering at work. They went around the room asking everyone about their heritage. When I said "Mums a pom", some said the word was offensive? Beats me. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count.

Another wicket 4/127.
After a solid opening partnership, the Windies have lost 4/44. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

4/167 and rain has interrupted play.
This partnership (40) has been slow going, 20 overs.
If ever the worlds number one all rounder needed a lengthy stay at the crease, now is the time. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

I didn't realise he'd jumped Holder (I hadn't looked for a while TBH)
All Rounder rankings top 5 as of 8/3/22
Jadeja
Holder
Ashwin
Hasan
Stokes
Apart from being a foot taller, Holder & Jadeja have very similar Test cricket stats. Both great players.
Holder - 53 Tests 2,477 runs @ 31....138 wickets @ 27
Jadeja - 58 Tests 2,370 runs @ 36.... 241 wickets @ 24 (Jadeja has bowled almost twice as many overs as Holder) _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

From covering Ashes Tests (in England), over the years, and ones like this one, my body clock is way out of whack.
I DO get some good blocks of sleep, but usually between 4-5 AM and noon.
As I have no immediate neighbours and only 2 past my place, I'm mostly undisturbed during those hours.
I get to bed around 2 AM but with the teev on - either for a cricket match or maybe a good doco or 2 - until I feel tired.
I will sometimes update a cricket score if it's significant, when I get up to toilet. _________________ Donny.

I'm hearing you mate. The decades of getting up for work around 3am have me sleeping/awake at all sorts of hours.
Very much in the early to bed routine and can be wide awake at 1am or so most of the time.
Love taking my dog for a walk early, no traffic, quiet and no people... I don't rate people too highly. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

There ARE some good people, but I also rate my canine kids way ahead of most humans.
Faithful. Affectionate. Funny. Smart. No regrets. No spite.
Now, well into my 70s, there was only one time I (or my family) didn't own a dog. That was when I spent a year ('67) in Lae, PNG. _________________ Donny.

5/206 as Stokes finds the edge of Holder's bat. Out for 45.
Bonner 36*. _________________ Donny.

It's not quite flashpoint but this next hour or so could well determine who will win this Test.
Nkrumah Bonner and Joshua Da Silva were looking well in and had added 34 for the 6th. wicket when Da Silva was given out, lbw. However, on review, the ball was missing leg.
5/241. Bonner 50*, Da Silva 17*.
WI tails by 70. _________________ Donny.
