So, we've now seen all 10 teams. The next game up is Bangalore v Kolkata, first ball at 1 am (AEDST) tonight. RCB looked very good batting in their opening match, despite just losing and they should win this one, I think.

RCB got over the line, just, against Kolkata in another low-scoring game.

It's LSG v CSK tonight (1 am, AEDST). CSK should win this.

And CSK made 210, only for LSG to chase the target down. Tonight, it will be Kolkata v Punjab.

KKR in a canter. Russell made 70* from 31 balls, with 8 6s - and powered KKR to victory with 33 balls to spare. The next best score in the match was 31.

Tonight, it's Mumbai and Rajasthan at 9 pm (AEDST) and Gujarat v Delhi at 1 am (AEDST).

Just re-watched Russell's innings - he doesn't always come off, of course - but when he does, it's absolutely awe-inspiring. He was 2 from his first 7 balls, so he actually hit 68* from his final 24 balls. Worth a look, if you haven't seen it.

At the same time, of course, he embodies the problem with T20 cricket at many grounds - the slogger who can just hit it over everybody is more valuable on a small ground than a genuinely great player who can place the ball with style and finesse. On larger grounds, the sloggers struggle and the real batsmen come into their own. There aren't really any such grounds in India.

It’s not that there aren’t big grounds in India (for example Eden Gardens is huge) but the fact that they bring in the boundary rope in order to facilitate more runs being scored. T 20 will always cater for the sloggers.

I've been to Eden Gardens. I reckon the straight boundaries are about 15 or 20 metres shorter than on Australian grounds.

Again it’s not about the actual ground fence boundaries they use for test cricket and first class games etc, it’s about where they put the rope boundary. And in T 20 cricket, it’s usually more about runs than wickets.

Rajasthan made 193 (Buttler 100 from 68; Hetmeyer 35 from 14). Mumbai is 1/24 after 3.

Rajasthan hung on to win.

Gujurat is playing Delhi, now. Matty Wade was just dismissed cheaply.

Despite that, Gujurat posted 6/171 and that was too many. They beat Delhi by 14.
