| Some shocking umpiring decisions but that isn't the reason we lost. Set shots were disgraceful, bad kicking bad football. I will captain obvious here, losing two big mids is a killer for any team. |

But they have a quality forward line and a solid defence.
We had a midfield and not much else.
But yes still pathetically embarrassing considering 90% of football is apparently ‘won in the midfield’.

Centre clearances stats wise 13-10 in favour of WCE. Look at the quality though. I reckon 10 of WCE went inside 50 and they got some scores out of it. We were lucky if 2 of ours went inside 50, most ended up wide on the wing.
They had no names in the middle but they kept winning it.

Have said this many times but wondered if posters here are capable of being patient. I still think this is the way to go, give invaluable experience to young players while probably playing in losing teams and simultaneously getting crucial high draft picks.

We are a bottom 4 team and this is what bottom 4 teams do. Too much inexperience on the field. Should still have won but we were too wasteful inside 50 as always and they were incredibly efficient and that was the game. Our depth is poor, we can't cover DeGoey and Adams out of that midfield. DeGoey would have kicked 3 tonight and setup a couple.
No key forwards and a defence that cannot defend one-on-one were standouts. Moore is over-rated and does not give us much, what is wrong with him? Terrible in the air, can't hold his ground, gets caught out of position, can't rebound, drops marks, fumbles and misses targets, diabolical. Geez, I hope we are not paying him $990k.
Just our inability to find a way to win is disturbing. We are impotent in final quarters, just cannot seem to do anything right. Long season ahead.
