Been all the Giants in the last 15 minutes of the 1st qtr. Giants better overhead and harder running. Pies need to hit some targets, disposal has been a bit slack.

A better start to the 2nd half but the Giants too quick and skillful..
Their entries into the forward line much better.

From what I have seen so far none of the AFL listed players have done much to warrant a call up to the seniors. Playing OK in patches but not consistent enough.

Final score: Giants 14.12.96 defeated Pies 12.7.79.

I missed the first 3 quarters, just caught the last. Only went down by 17 points. They played some good footy in that quarter.

McMahon playing back, kicked out from full back, torpedoes straight up the guts landed in the centre circle.

With no ruckman or KPP they did pretty well.

I see the hit outs were at 15 - 54 ( that’s purely hit outs only ) towards the end of the last qtr. Obviously we were undersized down the spine and in the ruck. Hopefully the selectors can find some gold in amongst all the rubble.
Second quarter killed us ( 5 goals - 1 ) but they responded well. It’s all you can do after a bad qtr.

They had a couple of big blokes - Brander in the forward line & Briggs in the ruck - and the Pies couldn't counteract their size.

Michael Hartley spent time in the ruck and that then left us short in the backline.

The boys did finish the game OK but one really bad qtr and some ordinary disposal meant they were always behind .
