And Maxy cruises the ship to victory with 9 balls to spare, 80* from 51 (six 4s, six 6s) - and POTM, yet again. He finished it off with two sixes, after arriving at the crease with Australia needing 93 from 84 balls. Australia 8/282 (D/L method) from 42.3 overs.

Magnificent Maxwell.

Glenn Maxwell was 80 n.o. as Australia won the first ODI against Sri Lanka. The hosts looked to be heading for victory before Maxy's superb innings. He hit 6 sixes in his 51 ball knock.

Marcus Stoinis also contributed. He scored 44 from 31 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga took 4/58.
