The Eagles released a statement saying they were aware some players went to a Leederville nightclub last Saturday.
"I am furious and disappointed with the actions of these players," Simpson said in the club statement.
The Eagles have launched an investigation.
"Given the current environment and the peak in COVID-19 cases in Perth, the club is devastated that some players opted to go out publicly as they have done," a club spokesperson said in the statement.
"The club has gone to great lengths in educating the players around the need to adhere to club guidelines and it is beyond disappointing that they have put themselves in this situation. |

It was later revealed Jake Waterman, Campbell Chesser and Rhett Bazzo had also attended the Leederville nightclub, but the identities of the remaining two players weren't known until West Coast released a statement on Monday afternoon.
Former Docker Hugh Dixon and ex-Tigers midfielder Patrick Naish were named and shamed by the Eagles. |
