Do we go in with just Cameron as the ruck, and make do with a backup when he has a spell? Pittonet wont be playing for the blues will he?
We get them without Mackay - do we need to rush Roughead back in? (not sure if he will be ready to go or not).
We'll know soon enough, but I think there wold be some precedent there for Adams to miss (whether you agree or not). Who comes in for him? Callum Brown? _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

Midfield will be the decider.
They have a potent midfield.
Here is where we must measure up.
Tonight's performance is a clear indicator that we can.
The fact that McKay is missing is a huge setback for them. Given our defensive performance tonight, we have the capacity to deal with their one spearhead in Curnow.
I think this game will be very close.
50-50 in my mind. |
For sure; even without Harry, I noticed Curnow and Dekoning caught everything in the air last week against the Pink Ducks.
Hopefully this week, it will be Monkey Pox... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Should be the best Collingwood V Carlton match in what 25 years???
Really hope we win it. The only worry is coming back from W.A and the wet might have taken alot out of the team.
So would not surprise me if we come out a bit flat. Particularly the young players. So might be worth a few changes if we have some sore bodies. _________________ "To know nothing of events before your birth, is to forever remain a child" - Cicero (Roman Lawyer/Senator) 46 BCE. |

Having 9 days of recovery might help a lot. I hope it does. Quietly confident and cautiously optimistic about this game although the odds favour the scum. I have a fair bit of faith in this superbly coached team and all going well we should be closer to picking our best team this season. How do you calculate 9 days of recovery when we played Sunday (Freo) and Carlton next Sunday...... _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

The Bluebellies will be warm favourites and rightly so, the bastards are in the top four, and thats how i like it, the pressure is all on them, really. Like, they have done their re build, took em twenty yrs, but its done, and they are cheery ripe for finals, where as our re build has only just really started this season. Id love to beat these utter bastards, i utterly loathe them, most vile team in the League, bar none. Just hope we have a red hot go, as we did last week, in a close game, we may get lucky, you never know. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Because I’m a dope who can’t bloody count properly 😄 Anyway I hope that they freshen up as best as they can. We can also pick the best team we have selected for a while and just treat it as our Grand Final. Go ‘Pies!! _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Fingers crossed Adams will not get a week. With his physicality on Sunday it was one of the main reasons we tipped the balance in the midfield with Freo. Carlton are a similar animal with clear midfield chemistry and plenty of speed with skill. We need to make things difficult for Cripps and semi tag Walsh. They do drop off in the second half so we need to stay with them early and not get blown out of the water Hopefully we get the wet weather footy residuals out of our players system. We need another repeat of the skills shown last Sunday. Can't wait I dislike the Scum and Voss so much hope the fly has a great plan up his sleeve and Howe takes the mark of the century over Curno! |

Without Pittonet and McKay, the blues are not that tall.
Not convinced about Roughead coming in especially as Howe is tall enough to cover Curnow if required.
McCreery had the flu before the bulldogs game and was good last week so he has to play. Also tough as nails.
Whilst not tall, Henry and Ellliot are good marking forwards. I like a smaller forward line too as it means we keep the blues backline under pressure. _________________ "You must be a parking ticket, cuz you got fine written all over you" Glen Quagmire |
