Ken Hinkley gets public support from one of his players:

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-04-02/powers-karl-amon-defends-coach-ken-hinkley-after-showdown-loss/100961418

How long until the Board pledges its "full support"?

Now, the captain (Jonas) is giving him full support - wouldn't, he says, want to play under anyone else. We're in the end game, now. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-04-08/afl-port-adelaide-coach-ken-hinkley-future/100976944

Well, we have our first cab off the rank. Congratulations to Leon Cameron for taking the dive.

I thought Hinkley or Noble would be first - but there you have it.

Just watching the 2020 runner up coach not win with every star known to man in his team (apart from Martin) and am wondering whether his 2023 sacking could yet come early.

And Rutten has "fronted the Board" and promised to have Eseenedon "go back to the basics". That sounds promising: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/mouthguards-in-dons-turn-to-old-school-ways-in-search-for-harder-edge-20220519-p5amog.html

This is even more promising: Essendon announces a "full-scale review" of what passes for its football department, mid-season.
