They say that the Aussies are Cocky. The South Africans are cockier than any other team I reckon. And once again when it comes to the crunch they spit the dummy. They play well if they are cruising, but as shown in the past, they fold under pressure.
West Indies deserved the win they were better on the day. And to beat SA in the opener on their home turf is the best sight ever. I hope SA go down in flames (however, I don't think that will happen because they are a good side )

Full credit to the Windies they played well.

Credit as well to Zulu for making a game and almost snatching victory. Thats why Sth Africa are dangerous as they have a match winner in Zulu who is a big hitter late in the Innings. Australia is crying out for someone like that. Powell did a similar thing for the Windies although i didnt get to see his innings

You need to be cocky to a certain extent....some would call it self-belief....the south africans are well aware that there is no certainty in cricket....they will bounce back no doubt....

Lance Klusener is packing his kit for the World Cup. The last thing he puts in is a gun for shooting himself in the foot.

How can a cricketer get to this level and make another such glaring mistake? One you'd chastise a young cricketer for?? He's had three years to get organised in the head after his disasterous decision to run on the third last ball when one run was needed to get his team into the WC final.

He only had to take a few strides out of his crease to put Boje on strike for those last three balls. The ball was caught near the boundary!! Instead, Ntini had to face. He missed the first and was caught from the next. Game over.

Well without Klusener they stood no chance. At least Klusener put Sth Africa in a position to win the game!! Maybe the top order should look at themselves.

I didnt see the end but i think Sth Africa did amazingly well to get that close as at one stage it was 75 runs from 45 balls with 4 wickets.

What other country would get that close from the position ??

Klusner may be a great hitter but under pressure he fails. In the last two world cup matches South Africa have played they've needed 9 off the last over to win with Klusner on strike and they haven't won either of them.

At least he gets them in that position. Give me Klusener over any Australian All Rounder.

Zulu is very powerful and very dangerous.....yes he should have crossed as his shot was being caught....but that is the sort of bloke he is.....either villan or hero.....there is no middle ground for Klusener....

but the fact remains....if he didn't bat the way he did...the game certainly would not have gone to the last over....if fact SA would have lost by 30 plus runs....

Yeah he did but it's no point consistently getting your team into a winning position and not winning the games. You can do 90% of the job, but that's not good enough at that level.

It's good to see South Africa are still mentally brittle.

Get on the Aussies

"It is better to try to do something and fail than to try to do nothing and succeed. - Lloyd James"

That's it in a nutshell, JLC, Klusener succeeded at doing nothing when he hit the third ball of the last over into the air, way down to deep mid wicket, and stood there watching it in flight with Boje running towards him, imploring him to run!!

I think South Africa are learning humility very quickly after another defeat in the World Cup at the hands of the Kiwis!!

Seems like a difficult task for any country to win world cup on home soil!!

Well they are out of the Comp and my prediction for the SA has come true. Their cockiness contributed to there downfall and out of the World Cup they go. And they said that they should qualify easy. When asked why? Their answer was we got the easy pool.

Fully Deserved!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD RIDDANCE SOUTH AFRICA!!!! SEEYA IN 3 YEARS, ONLY TO BOMB OUT AGAIN. CHOKERS!!!!!!
