Tassie was dismissed for 285 with Dan Marsh hitting 111. Clingeleffer scored a good 44. Rofe took 5/62.

The Redbacks have lost two early wickets and go to stumps on 2/17. Gerrard Denton has both.

Rain stopped play at the Gabba with The Bulls recovering to 6/231 due to a good fightback from Clinton Perren and Wade Seccombe.

Perren is undefeated on 117 and Seccombe made 40.

JLC that district cricketer you were thinking about is Bucannon from the Melbourne CC. He's currently in the state 2nd XI & he absolutely smashes 'em. He made a double ton for the Vic's 2nds & a ton a week later, the only problem is that he's not the fittest bloke going around & that may be the reason he's not in the team. They probably don't want to cover him & Arnburger in the field.

Also coming to stumps on day 2 of the Qld v Vic game, the Vics are in a lot of shit after being dismissed for only 150-odd with Hussey getting 62 of them. Kasprowicz was the main destroyer with 5 wickets. A short time ago the Vics were 1/6 in following on with Arnburger the wicket falling to Adam Dale.

The Vics shit me in Qld, being a Victorian myself they look second rate to a team which is probably Qld's weakest at the moment. They won't fight their way out of this paper bag this time...

NSW declared on 8/418. Looks like Steve Waugh learned from his costly late closure against Victoria.

Nicholson took 4/96 and Clark, 3/106.

WA then capitulated for 110 with Langer top scoring with 22. Clark took 3/38 and Nash, 2/28. Mail (4/1Cool took 4 of the last five wickets to fall.

WA followed on and were again in trouble at 3/76 but a great 140 run fightback from Rogers (89) and North (69) is keeping them in the match. They trail by 92. Bollinger has 2/36 from 9 overs.

The Vics are in big trouble at the Gabba and also were asked to follow on.

Queensland were dismissed for 349 with Matthew Inness taking 5/61 from 24 overs.

Kasprowicz (5/50) and Dale (3/30) then ran through The Bushrangers, dismissing them for 159. Hussey continues his good form with the bat. He made 62.

At stumps, Victoria is 1/18 and still 172 behind.

A century to Marcus North and his partnership with Chris Rogers (138) has reached 230 as WA go on to 3/306 and only trail by 2 runs.

A somewhat strange decision by Waugh to take Bollinger (2/36) out of the attack when he had just dismissed Langer and Hussey (24th. over) and not bowl him again until the 75th. over!
