Agree -we get a lot more value out of Cox as a tap ruckman than Grundy gives us. Just wish the mids and he could work out where to be and where he’s going to tap it. _________________ If you used to barrack for the 'Pies, you never barracked for the 'Pies. |

Good to see Cox smash the ball forward a few times too. Although we lost the centre clearances, we did with the clearances around the ground. |

Haven’t seen the full match yet for many reasons.
How did Bianco go today?
Did WHE recover from his shocking first quarter?
Is it time to rest Ginnivan and teach him to share the ball when he’s about to be tackled? _________________ Premiership Pies made it legendary in 2023, don’t let them forget it. #Go PIES 2024…. |

My God another heart stopper.Pies, what are you doing to my poor old heart?
Anyway,it was so great to see them win for Pendlebury’s 350th .Such a champion for the club,he deserved the win today. And Nick Daicos, what can you say?A legend in the making. It’s almost unfair that one player can have so much natural ability, but we’ll take it.😊😊😊 |

Fly is a genius, a friggin genius, and i know a couple of tiger fans spewing that he wont now take over from Hardwick, as his time is now coming to an end there and Fly did take the tigers to a VFL Premiership. . ah well, their loss is our gain. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Bianco probably had his best game for the Pies.
Hosk had a shocker.
Ginni has to stop playing for frees now, as umpires won't pay them to him, getting to the ball first, so needs to learn to dish out in traffic. |

After looking like an off day early they bounced back in the second half of the first q and you knew they would take it to the wire again.
Great win and tribute to Pendlebury 350.
Such a special player and handing that sort of match winning class on to Nick Daicos. Looking to be the best first year player ever for the woods?
I can't think of one better.
Lots of positives down down the list as well though.
Johnson looked good on debut. Nice size and looks a natural forward.
Carmichael kept boring in and his goal a highlight.
Credit to the recruiters for bringing them in to the club and to the coaching staff for getting them up and about. Both important for the result today.
Elliott's last goal summed up the side. Just keep having a crack even when things haven't gone your way so much. Keep your head up and you just never know. _________________ woodsmen rule |

Im probably dreaming, as Dale Kerrigan would say, but is this kid not only going to romp the rising star in, is he a remote chance for the Brownlow medal, in his first season, must have several BOG now, and the umps always give votes for players in winning team, now eight wins in a row, is he a realistic chance | called it I. I just can't believe how good Nick Daicos is and has become. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought he was this good. What 19 year old has 40 & 3 goals in the wet? A freak like his old man. J Daicos is also very good, chin up mate!!
Was great to get up for Pendles 350th, a true champion of the game deserves a win and what a win it was, done in true 2022 Collingwood heart attack style! Would we really want it any other way. If I was on pills I'd be taking a few right now.
I think Carmichael has potential but like Bianco may be a bit slow in dry conditions, we'll see he did some nice things for sure. Ash Johnson had a good debut, he kicked a couple which was great but wasn't amongst it too often. First game so he can only get better. That big swinging goal in the last was damn massive though.
We are winning games without being terribly convincing. It isn't premiership stuff, let's be honest here. But you never know which teams might crack under 4 qtrs of pressure, so if we can keep ourselves in the game we would fancy our chances late.
Jacky G, it may be time to forget about the free kicks, the umps aren't paying them anymore, what a bunch of yellow maggot wankers. And while I'm on the yellow maggot wankers, what a flog decision to ping Jack for holding the ball when he didn't have it and then pay a 50m. What a bunch of YMW's!!!
Anyway, the great season from outa nowhere continues. Go the Mighty Pies!! **** those YMW's. _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Correct. Ginnivan needs to maybe go back to the VFL and learn how to get the ball and quickly dispose of it rather than grab the ball and attract the tackle looking for the free kick. |

Some of the more marginal players were great today. Neither Carmichael nor Bianco put a foot wrong, and despite some errors of judgement Johnson kicked two great (and crucial) goals. I think it’s fair to say all three should play next week, which will make selection interesting with Adams and Quaynor coming back in. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
