The Proteas won by an innings and 12 runs.

All bowlers contributed, with Marco Jansen (2/13) taking the last wicket. He took 2/30 in England's first innings.

2nd Test starts on Thursday. How the poms are $2.05 favourites is a surprise.
SAF $2.85 and the draw is $4.50. Forecast is fine, chance of a shower on day 5 but will it go the distance?

The team batting first has won 55% of tests, batting 2nd and the chance of winning drops to 22%.

SAF haven't won a test at Old Trafford since 1955. They've only played there twice since then though.

Since 2008 there have been 12 tests between these two sides in England. SAF have won 6, England 4 & 2 draws.

If SAF win the toss, I can't see them getting beaten & will back them accordingly.
