Sunderland have just announced that they have sacked Howard Wilkinson.

They have also sacked his assistant (I can't remember the guy's name!!)

This was definitely on the cards though.....

Yeah it might have been on the cards but it was only a few months ago they sacked peter reid, just because they are playing bad it doesnt mean its the coach although he is a dud.

Its probably a stunt to get the team to win a couple of games, though with the team they have got i dont think so.
I mean come on even Gary Doherty can score against him and even Marconi would stop him from scoring.

Let me also ask you Woe why you are a Man U but have an image of a Jordy fan on your posts?

As they can't sack the whole team I think the coaches had to go..
They took over from Peter Ried 20 games ago and have only won 2 games in that time. They are rooted to the bottom of the EPL two points behind West Brom and 7 points behind the Hammer scum and Bolton.

They are going to get relegated this season and I don't think that any manager that comes in has a chance of saving them.. In some ways I hope they get George Graham just to teach him a lesson haha..

And londonpie who were the two teams to be beaten by Sunderland?

Liverpool and of course!

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR!

Lets hope for a win this week and maybe a bit of playing time for Toda, i also hear that Keano is back this week.

Lets also hope that Doherty has personal problems this week and cant play, well he cant play as it is!

I didn't actually realise it was a Jordie shirt - I nearly fell out of my chair!!

(I actually changed it before I read your post - freaky actually)

Anyway, Sunderland probably will sign a manager now for peanuts because they know where they are heading.....

Sunderland are today going to announce that Mick McCarthy in going to be their new manager.

What a great step for the Irish man, Manager of a World Cup playing country one year and a couple of years later the manager of a first division club.. Mick I though you were supposed to move up in jobs not down haha..
