According to Robbo in the Herald Sun, Nathan Murphy's management have approached the AFL to have him assessed by their Medical Concussion Panel. The same mob who recommended that Patty McCartin and Lynch retire.

Apparently, Murph drank no alcohol Saturday night or Sunday during the celebrations but was still feeling the effects of the concussion early next week. This was his 10th concussion if you include juniors.

^^Concussion has become a major legal issue. This is to put the onus on the AFL and not the club. If deemed he is no longer allowed to play then is his contract paid out and his payments can no longer be part of the TPP. I would ask if he’s entitled to be compensated? Also, How many concussions is too many? Murphy passed the concussion protocol in the GF. That protocol now comes into question. Losing Murphy will be a huge loss and in saying that his health is more important.

Oppo watch:

Deven Robertson played the GF with a broken wrist. Broken in the PF, but not detected till after the GF.

Wonder if he didn't want Brissy's medicos looking too closely 'cos he was worried he'd be ruled out of the GF.

Woulda been better if Big Joe had the broken wrist, not Deven!
