"Sydney Thunder opener Alex Hales has the Melbourne Stars on high alert as he seeks to transfer his blistering T20 World Cup form into a successful start to KFC BBL|12.

Hales made a triumphant return to T20 international cricket after more than three years out, scoring 212 runs at 42.40 as England hoisted the World Cup in Australia last month.

It included a scintillating knock of 86 not out from just 47 balls - including seven sixes - in the semi-final thrashing of India."

"Tonight is the night! Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars will launch the 12th edition of the competition under lights at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Tuesday, December 13 with at least one match a day for the next 44 days except Christmas Day.

As with the previous four Big Bash League seasons, KFC BBL|12 will feature 56 home-and-away fixtures with each club playing each other twice, which is good news for fans, especially those in the west, who will be able to watch their team play seven home fixtures each after the previous two seasons' schedule was heavily impacted by the pandemic."

Strange game but exciting, could've gone either way in the end but really Stars lost this at the selection table by playing 2 players with covid, silly decision in my opinion.
