Can't believe he is still alive tbh.
Only recently started to give Sabbath a proper listening and those first 2 (some would say 3) albums are amazing. And created by a bunch of kids, basically. I now understand why people hold them in such high esteem. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

I read his autobiography several years ago, the man should not still be alive. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Sabbath's early albums are both ground-breaking and intriguing. The links I have uploaded include two of the first 4 - after that, I think they became a bit of a caricature of themselves - their fifth album (Sabbath Bloody Sabbath) was huge (and is widely-regarded as a "masterpiece") but it always struck me as one of those cases of the listening public and reviewers cottoning on to a dumbed-down version of a group's best music. |

Not a fan at all. Would rather be tortured another way rather than being forced to listen to Sabbath. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Sabbath were great, prob the most influential band of the genre we know today. As mentioned the first 2-3 records were the best. However it was Tommy who wrote most of the music, Ozzy did the vocal melodies.
Ozzy was a great vocalist, but his band mates (whether Sabbath or his Solo Albums) did most of the heavy lifting. Ozzy's first two solo records are top shelf, thanks to the genius of Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley. |

Yep, it was Tommy's band. Just like AC/DC was Malcolm's. _________________ kill for collingwood! |
