Finals fixturing

We finished on top of the ladder. Great. We get a home final. Terrific. Now, could someone please explain this to me:
If we lose to Melbourne (speaking hypothetically) and Sydney beats Carlton then we 'd have to play Sydney. But where? At the G or in Sydney?
And if we beat Sydney (or Carlton) and we have to play Brisbane or Port, would that game be at the G or interstate?
Do our winning-the-minor-premiership privileges only last for 1 game?
Would someone please explain.

I believe that if we lose the first final and Syd wins theirs we play in Melbourne but then if we won that the next game would most likely be interstate.

We would play Sydney at the G and then travel to Brisbane or Adelaide (almost certainly the former) if we lose to Dreamons and Pink ducks somehow get over the scum. Basically lose to Dreamons and we will probably be boned either against Scum or Brions. Win against Dreamons and we can go all the way
