^Yeah, good point. I'd rather it had come out earlier, but the fact it was so late makes me wonder if like most productions it took longer than expected to be finished and rolled out. (Anyone know when the release date was confirmed?).

It could also plausibly have the opposite effect, i.e., the players themselves are likely to be tired of seeing it and champing at the bit to get going and test themselves again. They are also much more used to (over-) exposure than in Lethal's day. De-sensitisation effects and all that.

Bizarre take by Leigh.
I can understand what he's saying, but I think he's misunderstood that these documentaries being broadcast now were filmed months ago.
The Recall and the AFL website documentary are done annually with the reigning premiership team.

last year was such a unique year for us with a whole lot going on and off the field to get to the Premiership.
If we were at any point in our clubs history going to make a movie it would be 2023.

Glad it was done and have it on the big screen for supporters to enjoy. It will never be done again...
16th Cup 16th Coach.. 16th Win of the year
Fly's 50th on prelim and daughter born on GF day and named maggie... like seriously.. Hollywood writers would be asking for a copy of this script and would make a "Remember the titans" style movie about our club.

...

But the players watched the premiere this month, not months ago.

Wonder when it was finished (as does ptid).

^ I don't think the players and coach going to the premiere for one evening is doing any harm to our chances in 2024. The release date was announced on February 21.

If you listen to McRae, he's all about "deep wins" and "shallow losses". When you win and achieve success, enjoy the moment and soak it up as we have done over the off season. He's also emphasised that we're "getting back to work" and doing it all over again for the new season.

I have seen bits of it, and it looks very good indeed. But with two bad losses thus far, this season, and its concerns, what really impressed me, was our great Coach, Fly, and how he talks to our players, with calm an quiet dignity, so we are in very good hands, to pull out of this slump, Fly will definitely get us out of this malaise, of that I have no doubt at all.

I watched it this morning on Kayo and I have to admit it made me tear up near the end. I’m a realist and at my age may not witness another flag so this one was so special!

I saw it last night on Channel 7.Absolutely brilliant. The best football documentary I’ve ever seen. And it had a happy ending, thank God.😀

I must say Fly is such a wonderful human being. No wonder the players love him so much.We are so lucky to have him at our club.

A must watch for every Collingwood supporter. Brilliant doco from start to finish. An absolute joy to witness the rollercoaster of emotions that we experienced to win #16.

After watching it, it's only made me more determined for us to do it again. I'm hoping this Thursday night is the start of us getting back there again after an indifferent start to the season.
