Gotcha, cheers. Unfortunately it doesn't work for speed cameras.
I haven't been pinged by a cop for years, and that was the first one in a couple of decades. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Nothing like the advantage of not having a front plate to help avoid speeding fines from cameras... Bike safety advocates have successfully argued for years that putting plates on the front of bikes is impractical and a potential safety issue...long may they continue to be successful. Otherwise I'd be walking... |

^^Miss that and used to enjoy toll-free rides, now you pay tolls on bikes thanks to rear-facing cameras. Mind you I got more speeding fines riding a bike as I always like making my buffer zone so it meant speeding in front of the traffic. I was close to getting a bike again but too many people with no idea how to drive. |

Noticed something interesting. Coming home from Toc last time I connected Waze to see hoe it worked. I noticed that on the screen it had the correct speed limit for where I was and also showed my actual speed, which I assume it got from GPS.
What was interesting is that my speedo was showing 3kmh more than Waze was.
Didn't give it much thought until this morning driving up to Port Douglas there was 4 different places in 50kmh zones where they had this speed detection thing that told you how fast you were driving and gave you a smiley face if you were under 50kmh.
Every time, same thing, speedo was showing 3kmh more than the detector.
I can't help wondering if this is some thing that new vehicle manufacturers are deliberately over stating the speed on the speedo to keep people under the limit?
It might explain why older semi trailers always seem to be going over the limit, they have the correct speed. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

So if I set my cruise control for 5kmh over the limit, I'm actually only doing 2 over the limit and safe from speed cameras? _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

^ You're not alone, Stui. I've noticed it when I've driven as well. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
