An excellent debut year for Jordan De Goey. Selected with pick 5 in last years draft, De Goey made a great start to his career with Collingwood earning himself a debut in round 1. He then didn't play again at senior level until round 7 against Richmond which was when he then began to solidify himself in the starting side.
De Goey went on to play a total 16 matches in season 1 plus earnt himself a Rising Star nod in round 20 vs the Swans. An increase in midfield minutes looked to have helped Jordy & his development as an AFL footballer. He's a ready made hard at it mid & he looked to relish the time he got in there.
All in all, Magpie fans should be very happy with what we have here. A very hungry kid who wants only the best for Collingwood. I'll tell your right now, Jordy is going to be a star and his surname De Goey will become a household name for years to come.
