The Aussies recovered again when disaster beckoned. This team is so versatile and a joy to behold.
An excellent 93 run partnership from Lehmann (36) and Symonds was of the highest standard, especially considering the position of their team.
Symonds (91 n.o.) and Bichel (19 n.o.) added 37 at run-a-ball to take the Aussies to a good (considering the wicket) total of 7/212.
Vaas bowled very well again and his 10 overs returned him 3/34. de Silva took 2/36 and Murali went wicketless but only conceded 29 from his 10.

Well done to Symonds just bloody sensational stuff! Oh and Bichel the man can do no wrong! As for Gilchrist I believe he made a very very bad mistake! I don't think it was about honesty at all I think he acted without thinking and looked most disappointed when he was back in the dressing room! I don't think he will be doing that again in a hurry! If the umpire gives you not out you don't walk anyway that's just silly and before you say anything JLC Steve Waugh agrees with me LoL!

i think Gilchrist did the right thing. Sportsmanship is very important. It would be good to get back to the days where you could except the word of a fielder or a batsman.
Gilchrist took a huge step in that direction. It would be nice to think that other people would do the same thing. Unlikely but who knows

Symonds firstly and the secondly the bowlers did well to get Australia out of trouble to record a good victory. Well Done
Its called Sportsmanship........i know we may not be used to it but it does exist. Maybe Gilchrist did it by accident or maybe he meant it. Whatever the reason it was good for the game of cricket.
Occassionally in Tennis you see Sportsmanship when i player walks for the next point when an "ace" is hit and there is some doubt over whether it is a fault or not.
