It is very sad that the second of the "wise monkeys" of League Teams" has passed away. He was the referee between Lou and Jack.

He was also an out and out champion and a champion coach. Read the wise words of Mr Alf Brown and Mr Hugh Buggy if you can, to find out how good he was.

By the way, Cats should be unbeatable this Friday night.

I beg to differ.... this will hit the players hard and Carlton is now in the box seat IMO.

R.I.P. Bobby Davis. He was gerat for footy at every level. Part of a past era that laid the foundation for the current game.

At least Lou still lives to represent the Three Wise Men.

League Teams was one of the all-time great must-sees for all footy fans. They don't make programs like that anymore.

Makes Fridays loss a little more palatable knowing that Bobby got to see his Cats win one last close one.

A great player and football personality who will be missed.

Geelong tonight is in a state of shock. Our King Bobby Davis is dead. He was too young and so suddenly! This is really sad news. It really is the end of that great trio of Jack Lou and now Bobby . All three have gone to that great World of Sport in the sky. RIP Bobby you legend.
