Jeans was a thug copper and so was O'Dea. Together they committed a heinous crime against Johnny Greening, and because I was there that day I will never forget or forgive.

Alan Jeans as Coach backed Jim O'Dea, suggesting that John Greening had it coming to him.
Greening's life was changed forever. He has struggled since. And he has received no apology.
As already mentioned, O'Dea went-on to serve on the Board at the Saints, then was awarded Club Life Membership.
No-one on here is dancing on Alan Jeans' grave. Of course he did good things in life, and he has left loved-ones behind, respect to that.
But death does not absolve sins.
To glorify him in death is not appropriate. He chose to take his sins with him, and is rightly also remembered for them.

Sad that the 2 men who were known as "The Irish Experiment" for playing AFL In the 80's , Jim Stynes and Sean Wight , have both passed away within 9 months of each other.

Very sad news! At least he's out of pain now and he can be at peace.

I do believe he made a difference to all of us, before he died. He touched us all in some way.
