Post deletion

I just realised that I have the ability to delete my posts in the DTM forum. I'm not sure, however, whether this is the same for everyone, or whether it's related to my 'Bored Board' modding position.

In any case, I wonder if it'd be better if we had the ability to delete our own posts in all forums. We can practically already do this by simply editing and writing 'please delete' or 'oops, double post', but I can't help but think it'd be a lot cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing to simply press 'x' and be done with it. It'd probably also save the mods the work of cleaning up double posts.

Any thoughts?

^ but as he said, you can delete the words now anyway, just leaving your avatar as evidence that you posted something in there.
But to delete it all together, like you were never there? Yeah, why not. Don't think I've ever deleted a post of mine anyway, so I can't see me using it.

In the old days, and I do mean old days, a copy of every post was sent to the mod(s).
I clearly remember seeing posts that sniped, but had been changed when investigated.
There is only one reason to ever want to delete your own post, and that's to avoid a yellow.
